What is ORDER?

ORDER is a casual / hardcore raiding guild playing Horde on the Dethecus server.  The founding members of ORDER hail from the guild KAAOS.   KAAOS is a guild with a long history and a particular philosophy that didn’t mesh well with playing WoW at the highest levels.

With an understanding of what needed to change, we founded ORDER so we could continue playing with our friends in a guild dedicated to WoW.  Many of us still play other games with KAAOS, but ORDER is a new entity.

We are a fun group of friends to hang out with online and we don’t raid many hours a week, but when we are raiding we are extremely serious.   We have high expectations for preparation, class knowledge, level of play, and focus.   With our high demands on our players though we were able to be the second guild on our server to kill Illidan and we did it on a schedule of playing absolutely no more than nine hours a week.

In short if you are looking for a welcoming environment and a raid group at the top of its game you will see quick results in ORDER.

Expectations

  • Be on time.
  • Be informed.  Understand the upcoming boss abilities and strategies not just your role.
  • Stay up to date on the current theorycrafting of your class, and be able to put it to use.
  • You must be the original owner of your character’s account.
  • Be willing and able to go the extra mile. Keep your gear enchanted and gemmed and make sure you have all available consumables.
  • Be honest; take responsibility for your mistakes so that the group can correct them.
  • Don’t be defensive. Everyone fucks up. If someone tells you to do something differently, don’t sweat it or get upset - just do what you need to do to fix the problem.
  • Be generous, do things for others that take time, focus and energy. We are a guild of people who through working together can accomplish great things.
  • Don’t be a dick.  Check your attitude and ego at the door.
  • Read the forums regularly.

Organization
ORDER runs with a light officer core whose function is to help run the raids and promote discussion with its members.
Officers will have the final say on boss strategies, but discussion is something everyone participates in.

  • ORDER raids at PST times. All posted times are PST unless specified otherwise.
  • The raid schedule is posted in the forums.  Everyone with member or higher status signs up for the raid whether they can make it or not.
  • Keep the guild informed if you are going to be out of town or will be unavailable.

Recruiting
ORDER is looking for recruits who are serious about raiding, and who read about our guild and say, “That’s something I want to be a part of.”
We have high expectations from our recruits but we will take you to raids and make you feel welcome from day one if you meet them.

If you can’t meet our expectations or make our raid schedule, we won’t be able to take you to raids regularly. We will be upfront about your status so that you can make the decision of if you would like to stay or move on.

Personal friends are welcome - if you have a friend who’d like to play with us, encourage them to talk to an officer. We’d love to have them.

Loot Guidelines
Raid loot will be assigned to players by the officers on the raid. When an item drops, post in officer chat with the item you’d like and the item you’ll be replacing.

Our primary goal is to maximize guild progression, but we will endeavor to reward people regularly for their efforts.
We used this loot council system for the past two years and it has worked great for us.

Here are some guidelines:

  • Ask for everything that could be of use. Give the officers the information they need to properly assign the item.
  • No special consideration is given to people who rarely ask for items. Don’t pass up asking for items you want because you think it will remove you from contention for something else you want more.
